Enhanced with stories, activities and execises that inspire storytelling, this workshop will set students on the way to finding and developing their storytelling voices.
Pocket Stories
We’ll tell a story then provide a pocket and characters for students to use when retelling the story to family and friends. Creative dramatics, and other activities will be used to help students remember the story.
Story Soup
Let’s make an imaginary bowl of soup and fill it with stories about food. And, we’ll use that special spice, mini stories about each student. Just taste the soup and find the storyteller than lives in all of us.
Write On, and ON!
We’ll help fill that blank paper with ideas and suggestions to get you writing and keep you writing long after we’ve left.
What a Character
We’ll help you write a character only you can create, and when your character meets a classmate’s, there is no telling what will happen. Let the stories begin!
